Policies

Board policies and administrative regulations.

The district's board policies and administrative regulations govern how the district operates. Policies are adopted in public board meetings.

The district plans to use GAMUT as the official online source for its policy manual. Once the district's GAMUT portal is live, this page will link directly to the searchable manual.

Nondiscrimination & Reporting Concerns

Discrimination, harassment, intimidation, bullying, sexual harassment, and retaliation are prohibited at Big Springs. This applies to students, staff, and visitors, on campus and at school activities.

If you or your student experiences or witnesses any of these, report it. You can tell a teacher, the school office, the principal, the Title IX Coordinator, or any other trusted adult at school. Reports can be made in person or by phone at 530-459-3189. Retaliation against anyone who reports a concern is prohibited.

The district's family-facing overview of complaint options is published in the current Student & Parent Handbook. Open the 2026–27 Student & Parent Handbook (opens an external site).
