Sufficiency of Textbooks and Instructional Materials — 2026–2027 School Year
The Governing Board of Big Springs Union Elementary School District will hold a public hearing under California Education Code §60119 on Thursday, October 22, 2026 at 5:30 p.m. at Big Springs Elementary School, 7405 Highway A-12, Montague, CA 96064.
The Board will take public input and consider whether each pupil has sufficient standards-aligned textbooks or instructional materials in mathematics, science, history–social science, and English language arts including ELD, and consider applicable determinations concerning health and world-language materials.
Parents, teachers, bargaining unit representatives and community members are encouraged to attend. The Board may consider adoption of a sufficiency resolution following the hearing.
